Yes. 1836 the start of the first colony of free settlers in Australia.
There used to be a SEABL team named after the Buffalo, a ship used by the settlers to move to SA. It was/is a restaurant.
The SEBL team won the SEABL title 1 year from memory, but they only existed for a few years.
