Home and Away win/loss records
Interesting to note that the best team at home this season is the Sydney Kings, winning 5/6 (83.33%) of home games.
Worst at home is Adelaide, who've only one home win in four attempts - against Cairns, :(
Best on the road are Brisbane and, surprisingly, Adelaide, both with 3/6 wins away from home. Worst on the road are Melbourne (1/4, 25%) and Perth, who have also only 1/4.
If you extrapolate the win/loss ratios for each team at home and away after (most of) seven rounds (with Adelaide playing in Sydney tonight), the ladder looks like this, at the end of the year:
Team Wins Losses
Sydney 18 10
Brisbane 15 13
Cairns 15 13
Illawarra* 14 14
New Zealand* 14 14
Perth* 14 14
Melbourne^ 11 17
Adelaide^ 11 17
* Figrues are rounded off, so Illawarra and New Zealand both end up with 14 wins, Perth with 13.5, hence the ladder positions (Illawarra have a better points % than NZ atm, so I've kept it that way.)
^ Melbourne and Adelaide end up with the same W/L ratio, with 10.5 wins each. Again, current pts % taken into account for final ladder position.
The point I'm (hopefully) making is that with the fact that there's a big difference between the numbers of home and away games played by some teams, the current ladder could well change by the end of the year. Teams like Perth (and Melbourne)have more away games to come, which they're not winning, and other teams have more home games (Cairns and Adelaide), which may sway things in their favour.
