I think if you want an song for questionable calls "Where's your head at" by Basement Jax is good as the song can keep going during the game with a beat to clap to.
Ministry of sound has some good beats to make noise to. Axwell's "Feel the vibe" would work well. Soul Central's "Strings of life" would also be alright.
Surely Outkast should get in the rotation. "Hey Ya" is a great song to clap to and make noise to the beat. "Ghetto Musik" and "The way you move" with radio edits would also both be good.
"Girls" by Prodigy would also be a great clap to the beat track.
I know not many people have heard it but "Koolism is" off Part 3: Random Thought by Koolism is a great track which I think would go down well.
"Hey Now" by Xzibit is also a new track with a bit of radio play that could work.
During warm-ups "Are you ready?" by Hilltop Hoods off "Left foot, Right foot" album I feel would be good. Not many of the Hoods songs have great beats to clap to but "Testimonial Year" "Nosebleed Section" or "Dumb Enough" (if you can find a radio edit, maybe the best song for bball off The Calling) always gets me excited. "Full tilt boogie" off Suffering City would probably be the best song for bball from Hilltops.
"Sneak" by Hyjak n Torcha would be a good beat to clap to, but is a bit out of left field and people may be left thinking "what the hell is this?" Still something to consider.
Other than the above I wouldn't mind songs such as "You can do it" by Ice Cube getting back in the mix. I dislike 50 cent, but maybe the instrumental to "In da club" could work as they do in NBA stadiums (I know the instrumental was on the single). "My, my, my" worked brillantly last year I felt as well. Starting with AC/DC every game last year got a bit boring in my opinion as well. Not sure what to do, I'd suggest mixing in "We will rock you" and "Are you ready for this?" as I remember those songs working in the early 90s, but maybe that's where those songs should be left. But Prodigy and Outkast should definately get played.
