Any updates on bomb threat?
Is it worth driving to the game? People being allowed back in the stadium?
No communication from 36ers or NBL yet.

Half hour delay to tipoff. Wonder how this will affect the Perth game.

Seems like a 7:10 tip off, 7:40 AEDT

How was this not serious enough for Police/bomb squad to do the sweeping? And, how could the Arena genuinely be swept in 20 minutes?
It's almost as if it was a non-serious bomb threat - as if such a thing exists.
Tell us what you know KET, Just the facts. Not speculation.

I've made no speculation, merely asked questions.
Speculation: "The forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence."
Just so you know the definition and can use the word correctly in the future.
Somone was probably running late and made up a crazy hoax so tip off as delayed and they could make it there in time !!
I agree with KET, ho can they categorically say there was no bomb in the space of 20 minutes! Once you evacuate, you sure as hell are showing with your actions, its to be taken seriously etc so how come such a quick turn around to tip off. Thankfully all ok. Im sure Big Joe was able to squash the issue, nothing gets in the way of his game night experience haha

Good point KET. As unlikely as it is, there are up to 8000 people in that building and security needs to be taken seriously in the world we currently live in. I really hope the 36ers and the NBL review their security arrangements in response to this incident.
Big Joe and staff... or police? Surely the cops did the work of making sure there wasn't a bomb present. Personally looking at the tv footage, the fans evacuated were still WAY to close to the stadium, IF there had god forbid been a bomb.
So when there was a threat the police wouldn't have even been there. The evacuation procedure would have been under the full control of the Sixers event.
Police would be after the evacuation. Ever done a fire drill? Firies arrive after the exiting. So many people with an opinion.
Gave a read about what transpired.

Then find all 2 references to Police that is seems weren't there.
Ease up lads just curious how it was all sorted so quickly. This club man...
Firing arrive after the evacuation, yes, but they are the ones who investigate the alarms and ultimately they give the all clear. The police would do the same in this manner, not the building management.

The stadium naming rights sponsor is a security company, what more do you want?!
To be honest though, the cops reported the threat. If it was serious, they would have sent the bomb squad. You can speculate all you want about corners being cut, but the initial report came from the police. They clearly were satisfied it was a hoax or they would have escalated it themselves rather than phoning the stadium saying "ya'll got a bomb up in there...but that's your problem. kthnxbye".
Arena management just did their due diligence and got security to check for suspicious objects. I'm sure they could have just as easily been satisfied with Police advice and not said anything, and that'd concern me more then what took place.
