The Boomers have won the inaugural Gaze Cup with an 88-58 victory over China in their final match of the 4-Nations Tournament at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
The result completed a dominant performance for the Boomers, who won all of their matches in the tournament that also featured New Zealand and Lithuania.
Matthew Nielsen top-scored for the Boomers with 22 points, despite not playing for the entire fourth quarter, and Pero Vasiljevic added 17 points in just over 13 minutes.
Li Nan led China with 19 points, while Tang Zhengdong added 14.
It was the second time Australia faced China after they dominated their previous encounter on Friday night 89-50.
Early on it looked like it would be another rout for the hosts as they took a 21-10 lead into the first break.
Both sides were evenly matched in the second term, doubling their scores to see Australia lead 42-20 at the main break.
The Chinese started to make some inroads in the third quarter, but Nielsen kept the Boomers firing and helped Australia to a 31-point lead, 69-38, at the final break.
Nielsen spent the last quarter on the bench, but it mattered little as the Boomers held off the Chinese with ease to take the 30-point win.
