Daniel Kickert signs with Bullets for two years

According to David Pick on twitter Kickert has agreed a deal with the Bullets for next season

This might start the dominos falling. As teams miss out on their early preferences, they'll start locking in those down the ranks.

Brisbane must've offered a bit because I think Kickert had a strong enough season with Melbourne to warrant making him a priority re-signing.

Nice addition. Wonder if Adelaide will do anything any time soon. Or joey going to wait to checkout Vegas and then bring back duds he could've gotten from Adelaide? That is some nice Aussie talent to get on your roster!

Must have cost a pretty penny as he was on a marquee deal wasn't he?

That would mean no motum to bullets id assume

Good signing as long as they have a real center next to him

Nice signing but yeah, having a big like Kickert forces you to go a certain way for your other big. TBH I didn't see him leaving Melbourne, and thought they'd bring back most of the core. Might do them some good to be a little less one dimensional though.

Doesn't LK own both Melbourne & Brisbane?

So Utd get rid of their big who would't board (which cost Melb Utd a possible title) by way of Brisbane.

hmmmm seems like this deal works out super well for Melb Utd/LK.

Mixed feelings. Was our most consistant, reliable offense but never saw him jump for a rebound.. Be interesting to see who we get at PF.. Hopefully Majok Majok will start at Centre.

Yes it was simply a suggestion by me. If the Bullets are not going after Motum now, and he is currently playing alongside Randle os, then why not.

So Anon, are you implying that LK is improving one team he owns and ruining another that's brand new, and this is beneficial to him? The height of stupidity some might say

AngusH- Thats the reason why the United will never win a Finals as they will continue to change their roster every year instead of keeping most of their core.

Not ruining, but will be just an average side.

Channel ten Perth said that Nate Jawai was being chased hard by Melbourne United!

Are Majok Majok and Jawai too similar or would they never share the floor together?

tongue in cheek @Train.

Perth news reporting Melb are chasing Jawai hard. Today Their big signs with Brisbane, adds a bit of weight to the news story.

Will remain satisfied with the alleged signing of Kickert if the Bullets can put a legit rebounder beside him.

I'd take Kickert over Jawai.

If rumours are to be believed then it's Kickert and Petrie so far.

Not bad. Not bad.

Plus Petrie and potentially Cadee, and then Craig?

Kickert is overrated. Not worthy of his All NBL selection.

Great shooter but too soft- his lack of rebounding and inside D was one of the main reasons I was sceptical of our ability to beat NZ when it mattered. And my worries turned out to be well founded.

Good player but Bris better get the right players along side him to use his strengths and negate his weaknesses

(That was me)

If the rumours are true about Gibson Petrie and Craig. That a good start in terms of the right balance alongside Kickerts finesse.

Those 36ers guys bring ticker and grunt, and do the dirty work. And Craig is a strong, athletic rebounder in the 3 spot to have alongside Kickert at the 4.

Bairstow would be an ok NBL player.
I hear Jervis to Brisbane.... Would compliment Kickert at both ends of the floor. I imagine Petrie would come off the bench to give Kicks a break or they could both play together against some lineups. Throw in an import big and thats a solid group of 4 & 5's to work with.
