Why aren't there any SEABL clubs in Adelaide?

An honest question. Why aren't there any? I feel like having a few SEABL clubs instead of a quite low rate premier league would be better for the sport.

Possibly just 4 clubs. 1 from each of the areas East, West, North, South.
Then have the premier league step back and become a feeder league, almost a 3rd tier.

The premier league would essentially just become division 1 district, and would become a level somewhere between the current division 2 and premier league now.

Possibly clubs could become affiliated with the seabl teams?
For instance the Northern Seabl team would affiliate with centrals and north.

We ask the same question in Sydney and the simple answer is always money.

Look up what the E stands for in SEABL.
There's your answer.

It'll happen. Just like the old South Eastern Conference turned into the modern nbl, once LK is done destroying the nbl with these arms races the next generation national league will form out of the Seabl

Strictly speaking, yes, but it's like South by South by South by South by South by South by South by South East.
If Australia was a clock, and Adelaide was on it, it would be at 5:30.

Cram so very positive, NBL is working and working well. Deal with that and enjoy.

It is a bit funny especially as there is a team in the SEABL from Brisbane.

It's more the idea that I would like to see the seabl to extend to a true national 2nd tier league. With the state leagues to drop to a 3rd tier.

5 WA teams
4 SA teams
8 VIC teams
8 NSW teams
6 QLD teams
2 TAS teams
2 NT teams
1 ACT team

36 team comp would be awesome. Obviously would be split into divisions and conferences to reduce travel. Possibly six 6 team Divisions. Divisional teams play twice, inter division play once for a 40 game season? Top of each division + 2 wild cards for national finals tournament.

Or even better top 2 from each, plus 4 wild cards. Tourney to be held in 3 locations over 2 weekends. Round of 16 + QFs in 2 locations, SFs + GF in one location.

I agree with that, it would awesome to see the SEABL expand and include all States, as the second tier competition under the NBL.

Adelaide should be represented, now it is the border town S.A. only, but surely that can change.

I stronger second tier national competition should also benefit the NBL, potentially it could feed players up and it costs less to run a team in SEABL of course, but it isn't cheap.

Who known what BA has in mind for the future of SEABL...?

Can't see the travel costs going away or the income from the league rising enough to cover them, unless the NBL seriously falters.

Aside from a couple places that are working well, it's being propped up by a few millionaires.

The current model of spend spend spend and hope can't work long term
