Norwood to be the Premier SA Club bar none!

How will anybody compete with Norwood going forward? They have been the junior sleeper over the past decade, but now look to move into the best basketball facility in the state.
Come July the SA basketball public will get an upfront insight of how a professional club is run with Norwood taking up residency at the "Furnace" CLC.
Norwoods junior domestic feeder competition will be the biggest with 25 plus teams leaving MARS and playing under the Norwood Flames banner.

Sorry not the biggest domestic competition in Adelaide. 38 junior teams play every Saturday at Sturt Domestic League.

As other clubs are trying to move towards a more Victorian model amd provide loval competitions to help more inclusion Norwood are looking to be a super power. Hope they enjoy playing themselves in the future in lower divisions. We all have a responsibility to collectively increase participation across all regions together and increase participatiion. Buy it needs to be affordable for regions that are bot as affluent. Ideally Clubs should be setting up donestic clubs and regionalising comoetitions in div 4. And below. This will also make Div 1/2/3 more valuable and move players to be more competitive and lift the competition across the whole of the metro region. This is good for SA as a whole. We need to all think beyond our clubs and collaborate. Pathways for players will be reliant on this in the future.

I agree with the last anon. I would only be having div 1-3 in all age groups and even seniors. After that place the remaining juniors in a local development league. Get rid of 2nd and 3rd teams from some clubs, and run every age and division as a 10 team league. Especially in regards to youth league when everyone is old enough to know if they are going to go anywhere, I don't see the point in having a bunch of potatos running around in div 5, when they wouldn't even be able to play div 2 social.

If they condensed it like this, they would see much higher talent levels in div 3 especially, and I think the super clubs would eventually leak some of the reasonably talented players to the not so big clubs, which should lead to a more competitive and even Comp.

Norwood already have 20 odd teams in their domestic comp, so taking all of the teams that are currently playing at Mars will make it the biggest non district competition in SA. Norwood have the vision and the right people in the right places to make this happen.
