Hawks have to be very careful. They can't really afford to get behind at all. Being behind 8-10 points in Perth is really bad (like being down 20 at home).

Illawarra really need to find something within to win this game. Someone has to step up and be the hero. If it's not Lisch it has to be Penney. I can't see them winning unless one of them catches fire.

They don't need a hero, they need to protect the ball, rebound, and get back on D. If they did all those things consistently for the first 1 1/2 Qs tonight they'd probably be leading.

It's amazing how different AJ looks in this building....

One issue that i see with the Hawks is that they really don't get easy baskets like the Wildcats. Their scores come off step backs, 3 pointers, FTs hence relying on defense fouling etc

AJ's recent record in Perth is horrendous. Different player over there.

In saying that we probably play alright over there. Weve won big games over there in the past with a number of the guys we still have.

Perth don't have as easy a time of it against NZ as they do most other teams. NZ match up pretty well with Perth's size, and have the energy to match them on the glass.

Can understand the anger with another NZ/Perth GF series. Loyalty points idea needs to be scrapped.

Perth/NZ won't be bad until the likes of Martin, Knight, Wagstaff, Webster, Abercrombie, Wesley etc. Retire or leave.

Prather dunk is right up there with best I've seen in NBL

You don't see dunks ON people like that very often in this country. Loved it.

GF will be intense and physical between the best two D teams in the Comp. Both teams with size, rebounding, great stars and role players, finals experience. Hard to pick it.

What happened with the unsportsmanlike on ogilvy and Prather?

Quite a good game up until 3 quarter time, then got a little messy. As you'd expect with a GF birth on the line.
Have to say it though, game followed same script as every Cats v Hawks game this season. Cats just too good at home.

As is often the case, sometimes teams are forced to play "Their GF" early. Hawks played THEIR game of the year last Sunday.

I don't know how much Hawks are paying their big 3, or how much they have left in the Kitty, but with a couple of additions that teams could be SCARY good.
Imagine if Lisch got naturalised, and they could bring in an import PG and PF. OMG!

Yeah, Illawarra fans thus far this season have tipped beer on Marcus Thornton, thrown nachos on Torrey Craig, and tackled Casey Prather.
