I challenge you to rephrase the title to make it less clear.
Plenty of SEABL clubs chasing him as well and they offered more than that!

Gee, That will cut deep into their Salary Cap!

Might take up majority of their cap but the last few years they havent had a sixer or an import, so anything is an improvement.

The last few years they been paying their men's coach an absolute fortune, there was no money left to pay players, men or women

Yeah, Tuc's my guy though so I'm not gonna point that out...
Why would you pay a coach at that level pretty much anything more than a meal and some petrol money??
If he plays for a SEABL club he has to move and it's a hassle
Better to take less to stay in the same setting

they have Decorey Jones coming in on the sports visa so plenty more money to be spent at the tigers
most teams have 15 K max for both mens and womens! bit steep of a contract if you ask me!
It's a pain your right to me but he would have got double probably closer to $20k. That said $10k+ and camps is good to stay at home
It's tough, go to seabl and get paid way better but change your everyday life. And he needs money to be able to make it worth while to play all the games !
So men's coach/jdo is getting paid 50k +
Creek 10k
Import on sports visa has to be paid 30k
Womens import $$$??
Womens coach wouldn't be coming cheap either
Lots of Bunnings bbqs to cook
Yes, you don't need an import to win but if you have one or two NBL or ex NBL players it is just as good.
Norwood (men) bought their premiership last year.
They spent all their money on Jacob Holmes who would've got paid a lot more than any import got paid!!
The salary cap is a just a joke and they should really scrap it.
That makes no sense, how can southern spend that much money?!
can't have creek at 10k and an import.
Exactly let them so end up it makes it s better comp
Lol at thinking any club would pay 30k for an import. 1) I think that is a full year amount 2) there are other VISA's available, particularly if the player is willing to work outside of basketball.
Gee they look to have a decent line up this year can someone list the 10. (With out Jingles please)
To be honest apparently there are a few teams without a import this year as well!
If reserves are an indication Southerns 10 may be:
Staude/Catford
Johns/Davies
Jones/Clarke
Creek/Smyth
Williams/?
Peacock was playing until Christmas but seems to have pulled the pin. Their 23s are in the final so maybe some of them?

Norwood bought a Grand Final by paying a retired NBL player??
Southern are congratulated though for financially stacking their team as it improves the comp??
If Southern win does that mean they purchased a GF??
Lets not forget the severely unfinancial club Woodville who were financially propped up by BSA (again this year with a free Hamilton Holden to the club).
They had Mitch Creek who was reportedly paid $15K + $15K. Two imports who were paid a salary + accommodation, food etc, tall player from Tassie and lastly the shooter from SEABL.
Now lets talk salary cap.
So was he paid $30K or $15K+$15K. The first lot for playing and the second lot means for camps etc?
If Staude is the starting point guard then no matter how many imports/36ers they have they will still stink
If fisher gets a game it's a joke too, will just go to show its a social club
Mitch was NOT paid a cent to play for Woodville last season - FACT. Truth is he got a Mars bar show bag!
Big guy from Tassie was not paid a cent to play for Woodville last season - FACT.
Import bill last season came to no where near $15K - FACT.
But keep making stories up.
