No point him playing D-League for peanuts unless he wanted to rejoin the NBA. If he wanted to hang out with friends, he could just go stay nearby. If he wanted to keep fit, he could play in Puerto Rico.

Yeah, I imagine D-League would be to show he can perform against fringe-NBA athletes. Good for him, hope he makes it, as much as I would like to see him back in Sydney next year.
Hopefully he doesn't return to the Kings. They need a serious import who can play hard all season. Not an import who managed to play just over 1 season in the last two. Undoubtedly great off court but the Kings need to be contenders. Not cellar dwellers.
Lets hope he does a better job this time around.
