Considering that the team is now officially together, they could try some other promotional type ventures, such as a team photo in Rundle Mall, and give out a number of free tickets for the Wildcats game.

Considering the hello Paul Rodgers can now expect, getting 'new' fans to a game like this first one, could really attract some new faces to keep coming back to the Dome/Powerhouse.

Dont think I'll ever get used to calling a place a Dome, that clearly isnt a Dome!

Shouldn't all of theses promotional specials that have been organized in an attempt to generate the public interest (an important part of any promotion) before the lead up to the membership drive they had a few weeks back? A good incentive to implement some promotions of the team but allow things to snowball towards something special, like a season ticket membership drive.

Now is a time where all the players have come together so they can all participate in promotional activities. Up until a few weeks ago, most of them were away for various reasons.

The only reason they were out there is because of ticket sales being so slow. Sorry to be negative but i bet if the season tickets were all sold we wouldn't see them.

Ticket sales are down, that is correct. I agree with A-League -- they should've tried something like this earlier, if at all possible. Some of the guys have been away, but others have been available -- Oscar has been around, Cooper is in town, Maher has been back for a while. But, as they say, better late than never.

ALL players should be out at schools, stadiums etc etc as much as possible all season. Like they want money, get out and do promotions for the Club and the Team. In another thread months ago this increased activity was discussed at length as to maybe what their contracts should involve. Those who do nothing but train and rest, have all day left to do publicity visits and things, except for some who work p/t or f/t jobs or formal study!

That's fine that the player have out side of basketball commitments, no one is disputing that, the thing that has to be question is the timing of these events.

How about having the season ticket membership drive in the next week or so instead of having it 3 odd weeks ago before potential consumers could have been convinced of the teams potential? Have all the good publicity from the Port Lincoln trial game weekend and then have all the player's appearance at junior games (both on a Friday night and them Saturday morning) as well as any other promotional events that could be arranged leading up to a season ticket membership drive in the next week.

They need to keep promotions going throughout the season too. The club should do something in Rundle Mall on a monthly basis during the season. One lunch time a month with all the players there shooting hoops with kids in the mall or something like that.
