Other contenders:

Randle - has been up and down but right in contention

Kickert - perfect fit for this Melbourne team

Look at Jackson's shooting stats and turnovers.

Abercrombie??? I guess he gets in there by default given the lack of performers in the three-spot???
I wouldn't say three good games out of eight is deserving of first-team honours in normal circumstances though.

"Look at Jackson's shooting stats and turnovers."

Look at how he leads his team to wins, stats only tell part of a story.

Which guards have owned him head to head this year? Certainly not Antman...

Pretty sure the selection criteria for the All-NBL teams is three perimeter players and two bigs.

Majok is confirmed ineligible for ROY, and the same is probably true of Kenny and Prewster.

paul, Abercrombie on the first team? Could bring in Randle or Lisch so that Goulding could be the first-time SF and one of those or Holt, Webster, Penney, etc make the first team.

Lisch is at 15.6 PPG at similar percentages to Abercrombie.

Randle has won Adelaide games by himself this year so I think he deserves over Jackson. I know he had a shocker vs Breakers but one bad game.

Think Lisch, Beal, Penney, Kickert, Jawai and possibly Childress could contend for all NBL team spots by the end of the season

Ogilvy will undoubted catch up if the Hawks keep winning.

A field goal is a field goal no matter how many times you bounce the ball through your legs. Wouldn't even put Goulding in my top five for most valuable to their team.

On that basis alone Ogilvy, then Ced Jackson then either Knight, Childress or DJ.

1st Team:
Ogilvy
Knight
Abercrombie
Goulding
Randle

Yea Ogilvy is my MVP, he is the best player imo, even though his team hasnt won as many games as Goulding/Melbourne

On Randle: unlike the glory days, it's rare to find imports that come in and make a big impact straight away, especially without a pre-season.

I suggested Ogilvy in the preseason and was laughed at.
He is looking good now but along way to go and i think we are yet to see the best of Lisch

Considering the way the MVP voting is done, I'd suspect Matt Knight would be high up on the leaderboard at this stage of the season. Has been consistent all season and dominant at times, and a shining light in their losses.
