yea she means district and i am assuming she means Adelaide district as almost every team div 4 and lower in men's and women's are having a lock out due to BSA timing rules changes

Ann looks like there still wont be any games as BSA responded to the group saying "you aren't good enough to have fully timed games to bad to sad, and if you forfeit again in protest we will kick you out of the comp "

(i am paraphrasing as the email was a fair read)

lolball,

Any resemblance between the truth and your paraphrasing is a pure co-incidence

So BSA begs us to spend our money on things like getting behind the Lightning, yet treat all of us with such disrespect. Not a very good way to connect with your membership base...

Apparently the story will be sent to the media eg today tonight and hopefully show how dictatorial bsa is by treating the competition with contempt.
Hopefully will also highlight the deplorable conditions our district teams have to put up with compared to other sports.
The clubs need to stand up against bsa as a united front. If bsa get a win here where do they stop. If all the clubs arrange a lockout for even a week or 2 starting from under 10s all the way to top senior grades then the entire basketball community will rise as one. With exams and the weather warming up it would be an opportune time to protest.
Bsa have become a bad joke now, they're supposed to promote the sport here in this state but all they do is cater to what's easier for themselves and are picking on the supposed easy targets in the lower senior grades.

Not sure what the situation is, but, it is my understanding that the clubs passed control of basketball in SA to BSA and the Board - so they can do what they want. The clubs no longer have any say in what happens. The clubs IMO are only interested in their own club and you would be lucky to get them to unite against BSA on any subject.
I don't belong to a club but I think it is a sad state of basketball in this state when the clubs don't have a say.

you would never get clubs to agree to hold back juniors, their juniors are their life blood, their seniors IMO in lower divs are an add on. No Parent of a U10 or U14 is going to understand or condone the stopping their children play for support of seniors who they see take all the clubs money. PL yes, but they will see seniors as take all give nothing, besides at U10s or 12s their children are along way off of being a senior and it won't concern them in the least.
Clubs in the past when asked questions 3 or 4 will reply, some won't reply, some will reply with an answer that is not on topic. How could they unite to take over the world. Norwood, Southern who ever, are only interested in their club, they can't unite too much instilled dislike of each other to unite, just see the sturt bashing that happens on here

For a common purpose people will unite, irrespective of past disagreements.

Clubs are not just about servicing elite talent, that is one objective among many.

Next time you get out to an evening/morning of junior basketball take note of who is out at those games coaching, managing and spectating and then go out to senior games involving Divisions 4-6. You'll see many of the same faces.
