39'000 and 50'000 are great numbers on Foxtel, and sit them just outside of the top 20 most watched things on those days. 21'000 and 15'000 are adequate numbers. 8'000 and 1,560 are slightly underwhelming, but all in all a solid week for NBL ratings.

What is the source of these ratings? They seem dodgy but only because I am used to seeing them presented as rounded off to the nearest thousand. How is measuring something as low as 1560 even possible? That is an embarrassing rating if true. Shame on you Perth viewers.

It was late at night for east coast where majority of Foxtel subs live.

How many viewers does that count for?

There were a good 50-100 people watching at the Paddo where I was.

None of these figures are "real", they're very large extrapolations from what's happening in a small number of households, and with a small audience size like the NBL individual game numbers can't be taken too seriously.

Over weeks and months trends will develop which networks will take notice of, along with which demographics are consistently watching, which in some ways is as important as the overall number.

The discrepancy in numbers between games is too large to be credible - are you sure they're measuring the same thing every time?
I have a suspicion that the Hawks v Breakers & Kings v Crocodiles games are reach and the other games are average numbers throughout the telecast - which is the normal metric used to determine ratings.
