It's only meant to be an hour into this first game yet the clock says 3:31 left in the 4th, WTF?

Did they start this game an hour early or something?

Concern for Sydney losing that imo - Illawarra did really well to win that. Ogilvy fouled out in 7 minutes. Wow!

My mistake didn't realise the first game started at 11am SA time thought it was 11:30am.

Quickly looking over Ogilvy's numbers from the past three years, in four different comps, he averages a foul roughly every 8-9 minutes and only fouled out twice in 65 games.

Today he gets one every 90 seconds and is gone in 7:29? Something's wrong there.

Yeah the fouls they are calling in the post are to harsh. Let the battle a little.

Melbourne's weakness is its bench.

So I've been playing a drinking game for the Breakers VS Taipans game, everytime the commentators say the word Depth or Horsham i take a drink. I'm wasted.

Or how about describing every single NBL player as dynamic?

McNeil with 16pts and his shooting appears as good as advertised, 4/9 3PT. Joey might've done it again!

I know it's only pre-season but Cairns have almost a full-strength team and are going to OT with the Breakers who are missing some key players, should Cairns be worried? Also, good to see Charles Jackson playing much better 17pts and 14 boards.

The only thing they should be worried about is their defense, granted the NZ backups shot the lights out and played out of their skin. I think this game was really good for them to have in terms of running plays down the stretch in pressure situations. Credit to Bartlett and Ili tho they played amazing!

Don't forget Tragardh didn't play and Worthington was rested the entire 2nd half as well.

What's with the crowds?

So much talent on show yet do few to appreciate it live.

So Hawks beat Kings without Penny, Lisch and essentially Ogilvy.

Kings didnt have Childress. He is unreal but looks like Hawks have plenty of fire power left in the tank.

When Hire actually makes a shot you must think it is a fluke. He is a horrible shooter but he is a animal on the boards.

Regarding the poor crowds how come the nbl chose to hold the event in a town that struggled to get 1500 to their games last year and is a non media hub. Is the nbl really in enough of a position of strength to be handing out charity. Strange decision.

The league had some bad luck in this clashing with the Cowboys game, I've got friends who drove to Townsville from Cairns just so they could watch the game yesterday in the Cowboy's hometown. They're both big basketball fans but it still takes a backseat to NRL.
