Yes they are. So they will be half an hour earlier in Adelaide.

I'm looking forward to these games tonight. Melbourne, Sydney and Illawarra all look to have made some significant roster moves, so I'm keen to see where they're at compared to the Sixers, who have gone for a steady as she goes approach.
Also, it was nice to see a quick rundown on the NBL site about how each team has gone in pre-season. Well done to whoever is pumping out content for the NBL site. I hope online stats and articles continue to improve.
Having an easy place to go to get information and stats about the league is such an important part of getting people invested in the league!

No Childress for the Kings. Minor calf strain, so they're resting him.

Speaking of 20 years old....get some new material, guys.

It's got to annoy the league a bit with teams resting a lot of their gun players.

Majok posting up strong early. He likes it close to the hoop.
Him, Patton and Ibekwe wouldn't have worked together offensively, so from that perspective it looks like they've made the right move getting rid of Ibekwe
Issue could be other end of the court, perhaps.

Former 36ers & Hawks DP Kyle Adnam getting a run, haven't seen Brad Hill yet.

Anyone else having audio issues the last couple of minutes? Ie. no sound at all, just video?

I think Hakim Warrick is going to average a lot of rebounds this season.

Yeah, so the guys saying Hakim Warrick is over the hill at 33... maybe not so much.

You would've thought they would've got the audio back on by now

Melb up 47-42 at the half.
Hopefully they get the audio fixed in the second half
No audio as well. Let's hope the fox sports broadcast is more professional.

The Fox sports team are a little too seasoned to make a mistake like lost audio... Still, just thankful we have this televised for free at all - audio issues aside, it's shot quite professionally, too.

Cody Ellis looks like he's put back on all that weight he shed last season...

Brad Hill still Brad Hill, misses a 3 then throws the ball away.

Does everyone believe me now? Stephen Holt is the real deal!

Impressed with Holt. Both teams shot the lights out!!

Ofcourse warrick isnt over the hill, he looks in great shape. The comparison was made in regards to ebe being potentially over the hill, but not being in shape means his age does factor more so. Sucks no childress but if he is fresh for the main games then he should run away with the mvp and highlight reels will hopefully get kings fans to games.
Everyone else just get a black screen at the moment?

Holt looks like a black version of Luke Martin. Looks like a great pick up

We've had as many free throw attempts as field goal attempts. Living at the line.

Creek looks in good shape, other than the elbow taping. Hopefully he stays injury free, he's in for a big year I reckon.

Some entertaining games being played pity the crowd didn't turn up pretty sad.

8 points and 6 rebounds with a steal in 6:38 for Hodgson. Very nice!

Actually look very good when we are out and running.
sixers looking way better than they did at last years blitz, better chemistry already
Creek is playing well, would be tough to bench him, id consider using Ebi as a 6th man scorer to start the season

Sobey can get up and down pretty fast as well.
Pretty impressive performance really. Especially considering Teys and Sobey who have been two of Adelaide's best scorers over the pre-season had quiet games. Johnson can put up points in his sleep.

The reason Teys and Sobey were quiet is because they were up against some real opponents. Both guys hustle guys only at top level.

I really like the balance of this Sixers roster too. Best its been for a loooong time. Still the perennial concerns of rebounding, defence and an inability to score against a zone, but at least we finally have a few guys who can shoot!
McNeail has looked solid, he just needs to make better decisions driving to the basket. A few times he just put his head down and drove into trouble.
Mitch Creek looking great. His ball-handling keeps improving and it makes him a real threat in the Sixers up-tempo offence.
I like the look of Sobey and Hodgson too. Its nice to see a couple of young guys added to our roster with some real potential.
Didn't see the game but some pretty positive comments for once. Where do people think bee will fit in? Who will he take away from offensively?

We may still struggle in the half court, but will be unstoppable if we get to control an uptempo pace.
Thornton loves to shoot, hit a few uncanny shots, but gave away more points at the other end with his appalling defence. Open the door, and just waltz on by...

Just let Thornton shoot them out of it 4-12 downtown.
A good performance without Ere

Enjoyed the game and think we have a good team this season. They seem to have developed a chemistry already and this should grow further as the season progresses. Hodgson has the potential to be a monster with his height and speed. Walker will improve as he finds his place in the side, still his figures were good tonight but maybe not Boomers standard. Sobey, McNeail are good additions. Others show improvement from last season.
The video stream is soo much better than nbl.tv. Yes I had all the issues noted above but the clarity of the video was great and for free. My ADSL speed is the same as last year so a measured improvement for me.

I thought the same thing XY. Thornton has some nice skills, but he needs to work on his defence and getting others involved!
I liked the Sixers ball movement tonight, they were definitely doing a better job of creating in the half-court than they have done in the past. The question is, what will happen when they play a top defensive team? The Kings defence was pretty woeful tonight.

Sydney and Adelaide was the best game of the Blitz thus far.
I think everyone (myself included) underestimated Adelaide due to their lack of NBA calbire signing, but they showed today that they have the strongest Australian core filled with veterans and up and comers.
I have found all of the other games of the Blitz pretty bland, but I really liked this one.
As for Townsville, they do not support the NBL the way they used to. I am really sick of the league being dragged down by regional towns that aren't supporting the league. If Townsville fails to get crowds this season, cut the chord. Yes, it won't be the greatest news the NBL has had, but it will mean another weak franchise wont erode the league from the inside.
Townsville - turn up or F*** off.

Should've just had the Blitz back in Brissy again to boost moral for next season. They had a great turn out last year.

The Sixers looked good last night. Standouts for me were DJ, Creek, McNeail and Hodgson.
McNeail can shoot but isn't that great off the dribble - forced it inside a couple of times. Don't think he is as talented as Ervin or Wilson but his shooting fills a need from the last 2 years and will help Gibbo create more and give DJ space inside.
Hodgson is big and Athletic. He will need to play a big role I think this year as he is the only rim protector. Has a lot of potential I think.
More positives than negatives to come out of last night I think for the Sixers. Ere is the X-Factor for me with the Sixers.

Sixers looked good. But man, some of the fouls called against the Kings were very, very soft. I hope that game isn't a representation of the type of refereeing we see during the regular season.

For those wanting to use chroecast, you need the Google Chrome plugin which will duplicate you screen to your chromecast. Has been good quality on the tv and been easy to watch for a nbl stream

"Walker will improve as he finds his place in the side, still his figures were good tonight but maybe not Boomers standard."
Lucas nearly made the Boomers on the back of rebounding, defending and hitting the open jumper, all of which he apparently did very well in camp (and in 2014 with the Tigers). If he can do those three things consistently for Adelaide he'll be a huge plus.

NBL write-up:
The off-season hasn't done anything to diminish the fast paced style that the 36ers’ are famous for. Adelaide forced the Kings to foul with their uncompromising offense and that kept the 36ers’ tally ticking over throughout the game. They shared the minutes and shots and looked cohesive regardless of whatever combination of bodies were on the floor.
Townsville don't deserve a spot in the nbl. I wish them the spoon
