Good to see Damo is back in action. Beal out for this one.
Wagstaff and Hire have outdone themselves. Didn't think it was possible, but they have managed their worst hair styles ever. In combo!

Haha ... yeah ... Prather looking good - as long as you look away when he's attempting a jump shot!
If you are watching the team names are reversed on the score. Wildctas score is on the left.

Greg Hire playing the 2 guard atm. Get well soon, Jermaine!!
Hire driving to the hoop and knocking down threes
what is this sorcery?
Geez Thornton is doing to be super dangerous outside the arc this season. Perfect technique
I'm not sure quite what basketball skills Prather has?
None have been on show today
Kings depth is so much better this year - what a great pickup prewster is
Kenny has a nice stroke.
I say give the man the green light
Kings will be legit this season. Didn't think Thornton was anything special today and he still collected a lot of points. He's only going to get better. Prewster is a great pickup
Cats have no identity at the moment. Bit of a clusterfuck
Whats the score? Chalmers are you just defending blindy and getting narky or is the anon actaully wrong?

Who cares? It's the first game of the pre season, not the time to be making wild assessments about either team.

Sydney
Thornton can flat out shoot will have some games where his jumper is off though. Similar type player to Rotnei Clarke.
The bench is better this year. Prewster, Hill and Carter are an upgrade on White, Joyce and Duinker.
Way way way better than last year.
Perth
Prather is good, great athlete. ZERO jumpshot though.
Missed Beal tonight will help with spacing.
Jawai was terrible tonight will only getter better.
Super is a Perth fan so nuff said.
Kings odds looking nice @ $5.5
Sydney definitely look legit. Best Big 3 in the league
Hahaha My Granma and any two of her friends from the old age home would be an upgrade on White, Joyce and Duinker

Someone said Jawai is going to suck? He missed a few shots inside - that is all. Otherwise, he did everything you would expect of him. When those shots start falling you will sing a different tune.
Was talks of Redhage's demise exaggerated? Looks like the scoring machine remains a weapon.
Jawai was more impressive than Prather, was dominant down low just missed the shots which he will make with more practice. Also his passing out of the post was exemplary.

I thought he had a case of the fumbles, as did most of his team mates. They probably fed the post more today than they did all last season.
Yeah he fumbled a few, like everyone said he won't be clicking at full speed until about mid season.
Well we are not a perimeter oriented team, no wonder we are feeding the post a lot.

Kenny has the green light.
I say give the man a nice stroke

Prather's jump shot was his weakness. It was in his scouting report.
That said I don't think it will be that big a factor. He's not here to be an outside threat. He's attacking the rim and pushing the tempo.
If he is able to improve his shot then that is a bonus.
Was Daniels shot any good last season? Mechanically looked better but his flaw was the dribble penetration and transition. The cats now have that with Prather.
@RMQ: Agree, and I think when they have another gun shooter on the floor in Beal it will open up the lanes more for Prather to attack the paint.
I think Prather isn't going to be all that good, Redhage will slow, Knight will get injured as he always does, Martin will put more pressure than ever on the shooters with his lack there of and the Cats will end up pretty ordinary this season. And all the know it all Cats posters will go ape shit over it all. Been to high for too long.
"Who won"
Jawai.
36ers look like they dodged a bullet on that one.
Kings won handsomely and kept Cats to 76... finally saw a report on the NBL site.
How any times did Prather actually get to the rack over the course of the game?

Prather was good going to the rack, but no need to even put a hand up if he's beyond the arc...
He had a few drives out of the half court, but did a lot of his damage in transition.

I expect opponents to work Prather out pretty quickly. A couple of times he pulled an early-season-Ennis - just attacking the rim in spite of defence being in pretty good position - and came off second best. So I hope he's got some better control once we start playing games that matter. (I've got no problems with players pushing their luck in practice games)
His energy will be good for the Cats though.
My concerns about the Cats backcourt remain as serious as ever.
I wouldn't be cracking a fat just yet Perth haters it's one preseason game and they had no Beal.
Sydney do look good though and are a LOCK for top 4

I never thought a lot of what I saw of Prather. He kind of just looks like the basic import minus a jump shot. I know it is one game, but that is my one game appraisal.
Fat Cracker
Years ago
I might be under-tanned and overweight but I know a non-playoff team when I see one and that is what the cats will be this season.
I prefer to crack a fat and let it go down later if the Cats do make it.... which I doubt they will. In one breathe you say its just one preseason game, yet in the next you use that preseason form to LOCK in the Kings, people talk so much shite haha
Prather's performance actually made me long to have Daniels back :/

Any word on the seriousness of Marky Mark Markovic's injury? If it's just a pulled hammy I expect him to suit up for round 1
Indominous-Rex

Markovic was only sat out as precautionary according to Damian Cotter. also yes I to think that Jason Cadee looks kind of like a duck ahaha
