How do BSA/clubs process transfers in off season?

just wondering do clubs / BSA hold transfers and do them in 1 big block i.e. Friday at the end of the week or on an individual basis ? - this is referring to the off season where we have more moves / twists than willy wonka and the chocolate factory

Transfers are initiated by the player wanting to transfer so are done on an individual basis. Player must nominate a destination club, cannot just ask for a transfer.

Used to be efficient some time ago, but not that speedily done now.
