Is livebasketball.tv any good?

It's $10 a month- that's incredible value- I might sign up just to watch a couple of the French matches and the final....

SPOILER

For anyone with livebasketball.tv I highly recommend watching the France v Finland game. It was an absolute thriller, and Jamar Wilson burns with 21p in 19 minutes, shooting 9/13 to go with 4a and 2s.

He effectively split minutes with Petteri Koponen (who had 15p & 7a) in their battle with Tony Parker, who had 23p on 9/21 to go with 3a in 35 mins. For those who want to watch and not now the result look away now .... in front of a packed house of screaming Frenchmen the home side won in OT.

Quality of replays via Livebasketball.tv in comparison to YouTube is chalk and cheese...YouTube quality so much better.

In the past LBTV has been almost too high quality, took forever to load. Very different today though. Are you watching a replay of last night's game on youtube LC?

Paul - was looking for the full game on FIBA's YouTube channel and they only have highlights.

Tried to persevere with LBTV replay but gave up at 1/4 time as the quality was so poor.

It's like they've given up too much going for quick uploads of replays. Same as NBL.TV. I'm happy to wait a bit longer to get a clearer replay.

I am surprised that Israel beat Russia, and Ukraine almost beat Lithuania.

Russia is terrible nowadays. Israel not much better but no surprises there.

Go Serbia
To beat Spain without decent centre is great achievement

the groups are very unfair. spain, serbia, turkey and italy in the strongest group and all the other groups are average.

Let's be honest spain don't really have a centre. Gasol is not a centre like his missing brother Marc! Miritic is a stretch 4. However watching the game last night rudy Fernandez is the biggest issue for spain. They get on a roll in the first half when he is off then when he comes back on the ball gets stuck in his hands and Serbia come back. Also lets give credit to Serbia who were outstanding! Bjelica is an absolute gun and with the likes of bogdanovic teodorsic and a few others might actually go all the way.

Not only do they have talent, Serbia play as a team at both ends and with a whole lot of heart.

Pau has years of experience playing centre. He'll be fine.

I'm Serb so I'm biased lol
Our problem is the centre line.I can't remember the time we had weaker centre lineup
Raduljica out of form completely ,backups not offensive threats.
No huge names like our old Yugoslavia teams ,maybe only Teodosic and Bjelica but they play as a team..
Led by one of the greatest former players Aleksandar Djordjevic

Pau always plays better at the 4 for the national team .....

Serbia has a great team and well balanced and play solid at both ends! They play for the coach and play with the passion he coaches with! Just watch the Slovenia mad Croatia reply and boy does the former Yugoslavia have some talent! Bogdanovic, saric hezonja!

Euro basket 2015 gonna be awesome!

That's it, it's only a matter of time before Djordjevic jumps out on court himself the way he coaches!

Yep Djordjevic was top class player
Whole Yugoslavia region has had unbeliavable number of talented players in the past 50 years or so...
Amazing for country of only 22 million
Ironic thing is that basketball is still our number 2 sport behind soccer...

Some upsets

Lithuania beaten by Belgium Lth 74 v Bel 76.

Finland beats Russia Finland 81 v Russia 79

Finland beating Russia is not really an upset IMO - Finland have been on the rise for a while now while Russia has dropped off the pace a little.

Belgium! Wow - great win. Ben Madgen is playing in their national league next season.

Only 3 years ago Russia won Bronze in London Olympics and have been historically a basketball powerhouse, thats why i suggested it was an upset.

But you are correct LC, they missed out on the last world cup because of a disastrous 2013 Eurorbasket where they finished bottom of their pool and it looks like its going to happen again. This Russian Eurobasket team doesn't include Alexey Shved, Mozgov or Kirilenko (retired)
