"Tolo suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Sparks win at Indiana on August 26 and returned to Los Angeles the following day to be evaluated by team physicians at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Center."

I suppose the door is now open for Burton to play for the Opals. This injury is tragic for both Marianna and Australia.

Sad news. Tolo has such a fabulous temperament as a player. No dramas, blue-collar work ethic and extremely low maintenance. No wonder she's popular everywhere she plays. Wishing her all the best with her recovery.

Good luck to her with her recovery but I hardly think our bigs is our issue and once she recovers she will be just as tough to leave out of Olympjc team as any other player... She's a gun

Huge loss to Australia and now a serious need to bring Cambage back in the fold. Last campaign Tolo played a massive part in the teams success. Best of luck to her recovery. Is it time to look at preventive measures in more depth and do some dynamic screening for risk of ACL injuries under 3D scanning.
