Newcastle may notice not having Cherry there as he has left for the States.
Glover maybe a surprise return for Illawarra.
You don't know what might happen.

Cherry doing a prep year at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut. He left Sydney yesterday. Still fancy Newcastle to do well without him but they will miss his presence. Bankstown probably the team to beat if they play to their potential. No chance of Glover playing for Illawarra - he's ruptured his ACL.

As always, hard to know how the Metro teams and Country teams line up, since they haven't seen each other since the preseason, but based on teams who have not been impacted by victory or players leaving for greener pastures:

18M Bankstown
16M illawarra
14M Gosford

18W Gosford
16w Penrith
14W Hornsby.....

But I assume anyone can win if they qualified....

A few surprise results see three metro teams through to semi finals and Illawarra from country.
