Eagles men beat Woodville by 1

Apparently Forestville beat Woodville by a single point with a Brad Sullivan layup on the buzzer.

Perhaps a few Woodville people unhappy with the tight finish. Didn't the last game between these two teams go down to the wire also?

The boxscore is linked in the right sidebar. Looks like a top game from Cameron Wilson (20, 7 and 8; fouled out) and also a good boxscore from Matt Sutton (11, 10 and 7). Greg Pascoe scored 18 which is a season high for him.

Top scorer for the Eagles was Matt Gange with 19. Jason Dix had 18 and 12 but only 1 assist (surprising!). Brad Sullivan was a woeful 4/19 from the field, but picked up 17 points with 7/9 from the stripe.

If Sturt play like they did tonight and add Oscar to the mix, I wouldn't be so presumptuous about Woodville and Forestville meeting again this year. Will be an interesting game.

The Dome is probably the best place outside of Pasadena for Sturt to play given that they have to be away. Oscar trains there, Darren trained there up until recently, Gower trains there, Potsie works there, etc. Should lessen the effect of them playing away from home.

Greg Pascoe stepped up big time last night, he looks just as comfortable as he does in juniors out there and will be a major prescense for years to come. Well done Mr Pasc.
