Coaching at Forestville
The Forestville Eagles Basketball Club is looking for motivated people to join its coaching ranks. Coaching can be a very rewarding experience and the Forestville environment is suitable for coaches of all levels of experience.
For those just starting out, Forestville provides a non-threatening environment in which to learn and develop. Coaches are offered formal coaching accreditation and are given the opportunity to expand their coaching knowledge via participation in coach-oriented skills clinics with experienced coaches. Coaches are also provided with extensive documentation on basketball skills and drills.
For experienced coaches, Forestville provides the opportunity to share philosophies with a network of coaches, including many with State and SASI experience, and to work with talented and motivated players aspiring to reach the highest level.
There are a variety of options to suit coaches' time commitments, including:
- coaching a Forestville Eagles team in the BASA district competition (two trainings and one game per week)
- coaching a Forestville Eagles team in the BASA district competition and the City South Conference (one training and two games per week)
- coaching a Forestville Falcons domestic team in the City South Conference (one training and one game per week)
- assisting at trainings
- assisting at games
- coaching or assisting with Aussie Hoops or school clinics
