local construction pleading for council projects

Adelaide / SA construction article in Adelaide now wanting projects. Hint - BSA / local clubs - get the cogs turning for that stadium.

Think about why they love council projects. So much cream on the top out of ratepayers' pockets. No thank you.

Government contracts are always over the top, one reason is the hoops contractors need to jump through. The specs supplied are always over the top as well.

I know of one spec where the design company called for stainless steel pull wires in electrical conduits instead of the usual blue and gold rope. Added $250k to the job. On another one, daily testing at a NATA lab was required for the first 6 months, cost would have been $223/day plus labour.
