Patty Mills to CAVS??

Spurs looking to trade Mills and either Diaw or Splitter for Brendan Haywood's un-guaranteed contract in order to clear cap space so they can sign LaMarcus Aldridge.

Saw this. Would this be a step backwards for Patty or a step up?

Step up for Patty and step back for Delly?

Patty would be a better fit as the back up PG. Knock down three point shooter playing off LBJ and Love (and sometimes Kyrie) and not expected to create too much offense on his own. Would be a good pick up for the Cavs

Mo Williams also linked to Cavs.
How many back up point guards do you need?
Can see either Delly (likely) or Patty (less likely) get pushed back down a roster.

Mills plays a lot less d but a lot better off.

If they don't retsin JR. smith mills could be 6th man instant offence and a cheaper option than Smith.

It would hurt delly thou he might get offers elsewhere for more cash

Theyve given Delly a qualifying offer, and as we all know 2 Aussies in a team is the key to finals success.Patty would likely be much higher on the rotation than Delly, though.

Indication seems to be that the Cavs are willing to spend anything they can to set up a dynasty. Cap the only limit then.

Miami tried the same Isaac and they underachieved.

GWB: yes and no.

Cavs can and will put Kyrie and Delly on the floor at the same time. There aren't many backcourts you can pair Kyrie and Patty against though.

Given how many minutes Kyrie will play, Delly might end up with just as many minutes if that trade happens.

Pretty sure Cavs would be happy to underachieve into 2 titles.

Delly isn't actually good enough to be in the NBA. Dontae Draper is a better player than him.

Dellys qualifying offer was a warm bed and a ham and cheese sandwich after each game the homeless looking ass

Not good enough to play NBA, yet averaged 25 mpg on a team that went a couple games from winning the championship? Sure, keep believing that mate.

I don't think any Cleveland fans were happy about how many minutes he played. With his skill set (good defence, absolutely zero offense) he is a third string quality point guard on a team with only two point guards

Does anyone ACTUALLY think any other team in the league wants Delly? He better sign that qualifying offer because it's the only contract he'll be offered.

20% shooting is horrible for NBA player. Guy had a handful of half decent games. Not a good look for Australian basketball when he's probably our best player at the moment

Doubt Cavs would match any offer for Delly (if any team bothers offering him much more than his league minimum contract). They drafted Tyus Jones who won the NCAA championship this year. Delly now is the Cavs third string point guard.

Aaaaand in the most embarrassing turn of events I've only just seen they traded him to Minnesota. Gotta stop posting straight after waking up. Now they probably match to 3-4 million you'd think with the cap about to boom. If Khris Middletons defense is worth 70 million over 5 years Delly is worth a little bit
