How does the points system stop good SEABL imports from getting NBL jobs?

I would have thought that being a great seabl player makes it advantage to get signed. Know player on and off the court.
Already here easy to scout.
What has the points system got to do with anything. They are still s 10 point player after all.

Yeah, with the points cap, role playing imports miss out. If they're gonna take up 10 points, you need them to give 10 point production.

A local import or an overseas one who is mediocre wont get a job. Nothing to do with the points system.

Cram...that depends on the other talent you have and their points value. For example if you had a player of 10 point value who played as a 5 due to loyalty then you could afford to spend 10 points on a role playing import.

Plenty of teams have done this in the past so it's not the points system that is stopping this from happening.
