Which Aus Coach allow individual freedom
I was on the Ben Simmons post and I thought these might be a good questions. If you took a team of:
Point Forward: Ben Simmons 6'10"
Shooting Guard: ?
Small Forward: Deng Adel 6'7"
Power Forward: Thon Maker 7'1"
Center: Isaac Humphries 7'0"
Which Australian coach would you choose that had the right mixture of individual freedom and structure to lead a team this talented. I did not put a shooting guard there because I don't know who is the best knock down shooter out there. I picked this team because these are the top ranked Australian in the U.S. who are not playing in the u19's world championships. I think if we kept them at home under the right coach that had the right approach for their interest and Australia's interest, they would be playing for Australia.
Do you think such a team can play as a team and beat the best U.S. Hs teams like Monteverde Academy, Oakhill, or Findlay.
Is there a coach that can say look at Ben and Thon and say I have to make sure we promote you beyond just playing for Australia but showing that superstars are made in Australia. With that much talent, IQ, and athleticism on that team you can let these guys go make plays sometimes. Who is that coach and last of all is it good for Austrlian basketball?
