"Weigh signed a three year deal with Cairns prior to the 2013/14 season but recently declined to take up the third-year player option on his contract, thus making him a free agent.

The 28-year-old Weigh, who carries a PPR of six, averaged 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game last season while sharing time at the small forward position with Torrey Craig."

Weigh would be useful for many teams at the right price imo, not a superstar, but a very solid player.

Joining the dots people said the Taipans wouldn't re-sign him if they secure Wortho, which appears to be happening and people have said another Taipan is set to join Mitch Young at the Crocs so it looks like it might be Weigh.

Would have to make solid grounds on his performances IMO.
Solid, but he did come with a high reputation when he come to Adelaide and didn't really make an impact. Still dont think he did at the Taipans.

Taipans have resigned weigh, Bruce and Craig. Wortho has also signed on and I think the player your talking about heading to the crocs is Corey Maynard. You'll find sobey will fill his role. Guaranteed!you heard it here first. I have a very reliable source as well!

If Cairns keep a majority of their roster and add Worthington they will be a serious contender again. I'm pretty happy with the stars returning, Khazzouh, Goulding,and rumours still circulating around Ogilvy and Lisch. Looking at being some good talent around.

Burston, Tragardh

If another Snake is heading to Crocs, delete Weigh or Maynard but not sure who will replace them - depends on the position.

Weigh is a nice piece, but I don't think he'll achieve what he's capable of until he moves to the PF spot, at least some of the time. He needs to toughen up a bit for that to happen, but that's his future in the NBL.

Wortho was good under Goorjian, he was good the last year of the Tigers when they played a disciplined system, I think he'll excel in Cairns, especially with their depth allowing him to just be an outstanding role player rather than trying to do more.

weigh was still in cairns about a month ago, and played with them on the tour to china recently, so it seems they still like each other, but working out whether they can both come to acceptable arrangement.
