would love to see something in the SA press re 3 ex pat sth aussies in the same wnba season (tess, erin, abby) - huge effort (our best ever - previous was erin and laura in one season) and also good for talking up womens bball after the recent efforts for the lightning.

I would settle for any media coverage of women's basketball in the Australian mainstream media. But I guess we have to wait for the conclusion of the NBA Finals when presumably Nagy, Tuxworth and Ward might apply themselves to the important events in women's basketball. It's not like there haven't been any, but unhappily BAs communiques on many of these issues lack sufficient detail.
If they wore sexy skirts and didn't have to dribble the ball and had the support of the whole community and were connected to local football clubs at junior level and recieved huge government funding.........wait!
They are small achievements in the grand scheme of things dubbed "sporting news" - basketball isn't that popular, women's basketball less so, and international women's basketball even less again.
Only basketball enthusiasts would know/care.
Do you see much about women's volleyball players who pick up pro contracts in Europe in the paper?
