Youth league coach suiting up
What is worse? Fact that the coach of a youth league coach is u23, or fact that he now is suiting up for the team?

Whats wrong with a YL coach being 23? i Know a 26 year old coaching Senior Women is that a problem also?
One club had an injured bottom-aged U/18 coaching his U/18 team up to and including games at state champs.
Sidney who are you referring to in the above post?
If they struggling for number etc who cares sure the club/team knew it was going on.
This is a 'nothing to see here' and 'move on' issue. The bigger issues in Youth league are parents who continue to yell out abuse even when their team is winning and the unbelievable inconsistency in referee interpretations.
Without putting it into context and saying who the team/club is it is hard to make a comment.
Sidney who are you talking about??
Clearly someone just trying to cause a stir. Usual trolls.
There are a number of playing coaches in the Big V.
Whats the issue?
Parents forget youth league is actually an adult comp even if some players are under 18.

Good on them. Great way to get a good feel for whats happening.
Also its good for the players to see the coach doing the hard yards physically.
Who was it? Awesome to hear!!

Often at the 23 and seniors group player coaches occur, a, clubs struggle to get all teams covered. b, Sometimes teams enter in on the basis of player coaches as mates.
I`ll take it this is in regards to the Keysborough Youth League side. I was told there coach has decided to suit up this year. One of the other players is now coaching the team.
If it works for them then why not, it is obviously a direction that the club is happy with and wants to go down.
The refs are a joke the way they pick on certain players throughout the league
The refs are a joke the way they allow defenders to push, hold and grab in the key! Stop giving warnings and call the freaking foul and they will have their hands out it is not that hard.
refs are a joke in big V youth league! Yeah i'll agree with that
No warning

I agree with that comment, if a rule is in place for a reason, warning players is directly disregarding the value of the rules, players won't learn to change their style if they get away with it they will push the limits. ENFORCE THE RULE and the game is played the way its supposed to be.
So many players play by the rules and get screwed by refs that allow players to push the limits and give no calls.
SA refs at YL league level are no better, put them on a premier league game where they are closely examined and oh how they change.
Refs need to be strict and enforce all rules like 3 seconds and hands on to help improve the game.
