This is a joke. There is no doubt these kids in the team are great players but really!? not even 1 kid not in the AIS on the team of 10!? That must cloud the hopes of some young Aussies if they want to rep the green and gold.

The team of 12 hasn't been selected yet but in the squad of 15 there are at least 4 players who are not at the AIS.
The final 12 I reckon.

Kyle Clark will make the 10 and he is not at the AIS.
For me
G - DJ / McDowell-White / Wilson
G - Krebs / Clarke
F - McVeigh / J White
F - Vague / McKay
C - Perry / Froiling / Hunter
13 - Blagojevic (he could replace McKay)
14 - Gak (good long term prospect but behind other bigs)
15 - Glover (better guards ahead of him and very young)
I've been told McDowell-White won't be playing at worlds

Perry went down against Kilsyth and did not return. From what I heard the injury is fairly serious, apparently dislocated knee and may require a surgery that may rule him out of the worlds. Poor kid, just can't get a break.
Hope he recovers and comes back stronger.

What you mean is that we should fold every time our major players are not available, right?
All countries in the world field their best available players and they don't dwell on "what ifs", so get on and support those selected. Don't you think Capes would like having the likes of those mentioned. They are not available full stop.
^^anon - every team makes it through the group stage. The most important game is in the quarterfinals. We are in group C and will play against a team from group D which includes Serbia, Greece, Korea and Dominican Republic.
When is this tournament? Are guys going to college going to be available? Some of the players mentioned will be off to the USA for college in August, so when will they need to be available for the worlds?
The worlds start at the end of next month. 44 days away.

Thanks anon, so plenty of options to replace those injured or unavailable for other reasons. We should be able to send a decent team no matter who we send, shouldn't we?
