Now obviously, what he says is in jest. However, the seed is in the mind somewhere. His chances of making Team USA are fairly minimal. Why not throw on your wifes colours and help lead an up and coming team to a medal?

Most countries nationality laws allowed citizenship by marriage (to a non-citizen).

A lot of countries have removed the right to "citizenship by marriage". It's logical and sensible.

A guy like Ced Jackson may become a citizen. He would be fairly close to meeting the "days in NZ per year" requirement.

Once Ced Jackson becomes a NZ citizen will he be able to collect the dole in Australia and play for the Boomers in the window before he represents NZ?
