R:8 Breakers Vs Kings

NZ #1 at home to Childress & the Kings #5.

Thomas Abercrombie still out for the NZ Breakers.

I think NZ are playing themselves back into form but will need to get out the blocks early and stifle Sydney before they can get any confidence offensively. Force them into playing Childress against the World.

NZ by 9 for me. NZ's guards are playing great and even with TeRangi & Bailey covering Abercrombies spot I think they have too much depth across the board.

Very stop/start game. Breakers have a problem with Josh Childress.

A great win in an up and down face paced game for New Zealand.
Cedric Jackson was on fire from outside and punished Sydney for sagging off him.
Mika Vukona's mid range game was on point and Rueban TeRangi finally found his shot. All 3 of NZ's guards played well and hit their 3's when ever the D sagged or didn't switch fast enough.
Tom Garlepp played great and can hold his head up high with his efforts.
Josh Childress threw down the nastiest dunk I've seen in while and was otherwise as advertised.

I thought Sydney were pretty hard done by in the first half on the foul count, home cooking seemed to be afoot but in the second half the calls seemed to flow both ways a lot more.

How much longer can the Kings persist with Kendrick Perry? Looked timid, outclassed and completely out of his depth. Not to mention the atrocity that is Kevin White on a basketball court. Great defender, my ass. See what Jackson did to him?

They should put Perry on a plane headed east instead of west from NZ. He's barely NIL bench standard. Let Cadee run point. He at least managed a single assist unlike Perry.

White is useless but he's not alone in this team of bozos. I don't know which is the bigger gimp out of Brandt and Duinker. Ellis and Joyce are only there to make up the numbers it seems.

Too much dead wood in this team.

Breakers should do the right thing & pass a bucket around to help with repairing Kevin Whites ankles after Jackson shook him out of his shoes in the 1st quarter.

You mean the defensive specialist?

Next time I hear how great he is on defense I think I'll throw up. Everybody knows it's only code for a player who makes zero contribution on offense.

The Kings should've got Rhys carter instead of duinker and a tough import centre they're too soft and perry has been disappointing

One downer for the Breakers is Pledgers health! I think he needs to get that foot surgery he needs, looks like hes in serious pain out there

There need to be a decision on Perry being replaced by either Cotter or the Kings owners very soon to avoid competing with the Hawks for the wooden spoon.

No matter what kings do, they will not come close to the wooden spoon while Childress is healthy.

Kings can have Wilson. Sure Childress would love all the looks Jamar could get him.... no wait
