It's certainly not irrelevant, it's a great tournament showcasing talent that you otherwise don't get to see as only 10 players make a state team, and I'd rank it above un14s as that's just showcasing a few teams, that have a couple of decent players, very few actually come all the way through to the senior elite level from there
The senior champ section of school nationals has some amazing talent usually, though perhaps not this year as un19 Oceania is on in fiji at the same time.
BA have really fallen off the wagon lately with their lack of coverage of all the junior programs really.
When you consider how important this next un19 Oceania is in it's new format you would think they would at least be conducting training or tours like New Zealand and the other countries Australia has to play, but no not a thing. No promotion nothing
Not sure if it's ignorance or arrogance, but let's hope it doesn't come back to bite them, with either our Aussie men or women not making worlds for 2015.
