A nice summary of the Aussies in the NBA from the past week.

Aussies in the NBA: Baynes notches career night in Houston

How good have the Warriors been to start the season? Bogut is definitely more involved on the offensive end so far under Steve Kerr and this has led to a few more open looks for the shooters. A really fun team to watch right now.

warriors are playing some of the best ball in the nba right now. their bench has improved out of sight. probably the best passing team right now , an offensive juggernaut , but also have a tonne of decent to excellent defenders.

a fit bogut is the key to their playoff run. if he can stay healthy i think they can beat any team

Should the Warriors trade Lee? They definitely shouldnt start him over Green once he gets healthy...

when Klay learns to share the ball they'll be a great team. Bogut strong on D, needs to work on his offensive game though

nah , lee's inside scoring will be valuable. you want to have inside/outside threats to stop any team from collapsing in the lanes or staying hard out on your shooters.

enough mins for lee and green

I loved watching Bogey against the Rockets. As long as he stays healthy.

For anyone worried about Exum, don't be. He's showing some really good signs so far :

Splits 2 defenders then make a nice pass for the easy bucket http://gfycat.com/EducatedDifficultImago

Loses Waiters on an off ball screen and cuts back door for the jam, Varejao didn't even see him coming

Gets into the lane and manages to draw both Love and Thompson, leaving it open for the easy lob:

Joe Ingles getting some run today against Detroit. At the half has 7 points including 2-2 from range in 13:24.

Exum currently 5 pts, 2 boards, 2 assists in only 6:13 of game time.

Exum with 9 pts, 5 assists, 3 boards, a steal and a team leading +11 today. He's been impressive this season considering how little competitive basketball he's played in recent years, to step into the NBA at barely 19 with no college or Euro experience and to compete is great.

I think it is awesome to have so many Aussies contributing to open the season! Now we just want to see a little more of Cam Bairstow and the return of Patty Mills.

Ah. He's listed as inactive today - possibly assigned to D League?

Bairstow is still with the team, albeit in a suit. Past history would indicate tat Thibs does not like sending his players to D-League, preferring to have them train with the team - so let's see what happens.

The week draws to a close once more, and it's time to look at our Aussies in the NBA. Bogut has deserved top praise for staying in top form, but Cameron Bairstow gets the headline this week.

Some major milestones:
◾It’s Cam’s first ever start in the NBA.
◾He’s also the third Australian to start for the Bulls, the other two being Luc Longley and Chris Anstey.
◾He could also possibly be the eighth Australian to start in the NBA, but this is undergoing verification.

Baynes got the start for San Antonio today. Popovich has praised Baynes stepping in for the injured Splitter, with the season still under 20 games old he's really proving that he'll be able to take some of the load off of Duncan as the season gets old.

Avg 10pts at 68% + 5rebs in 18mins over the last 5 games.

I thought he would get more mins with Splitter out, but doing well with time he is given.

Will he get the chance to prove he can play a bigger role with the Spurs?
Not sure he will, but I guess he gets to play for titles instead :)

He could probably get 30+mins with Phili ;)
Patty and Baynes for MCW!?!?!

2 Aussies starting on an NBA team would be good.
They may even win a game by the end of the season.

Plus Mills is injured and that is a pre-req to join the 76ers lately.

This week's Aussies in the NBA recap is Delly-packed! Yes - he is back!

Dellavedova leads Cavs to comeback victory

Nothing grabs the headline quite like Matthew Dellavedova's return. He’s already making an impact on his second game back, and led a late game charge that ended in a home victory.

Delly is starting tonight against OKC, Irving moving to SG and Marion to SF.

Interesting choice that they didn't go with Waiters, but I think it's the right choice. Waiters has provided some great offense off the bench lately and it gives the Cavs greater depth.

It's almost Christmas, and everything is on a slow grind this week. Bogut is out of action along with Mills, and Bairstow has gotten almost no show time. Ingles and Delly are quiet for varied reasons. Baynes is consistently performing, but Exum gets the spotlight this time with a career high against New Orleans.

4 Aussies in action today, with Utah playing at San Antonio.

Ingles started for the Jazz. Exum will play his usual 15 or so minutes but has struggled a little lately.

Mills has been in good form since his return so I would look for him to play ~20min tonight. Duncan and Splitter are out there for SA so Baynes may not get a look in unless the game is a blowout early on.

Just another week in the NBA? Not for Australian basketball!

A historic moment transpired on 19 Jan 2015, when Aron Baynes, Patty Mills, Joe Ingles and Dante Exum were all on the hardwood at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. It marked the first time four Australian NBA players were ever on the court together, unfolding a proud milestone for Aussie fans everywhere.

Delly was deceptively effective in the Cav's win against the T-Wolves. He had two dagger 3's in the 4th that closed the door on the Wolves, who were on the verge of pulling off an upset.

Back to back double figure games from Delly with 10 points in the 4th quarter, 9 of which came from 3pters, helped break what was a spirited comeback by the 76ers. The Cleveland Cavaliers running away with it in the end 97-84, Delly led all scorers off the bench with 12.

The Golden State Warriors have proved themselves capable of surviving without Bogut, and even flourishing as a two-way team with a fearsome small-ball lineup that features multiple long-limbed swingmen like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

Is Andrew Bogut still as invaluable to the Warriors as we believed in the early season?

LOL!

8 March 2015 was one hell of a night for two of our Aussies in the NBA. Danté Exum broke out with a 14-point night against the Brooklyn Nets. Patty Mills similarly, blazed a 15-point hole against Chicago in the United Center. We also look at Bogut's impact to the current Warriors right now. Bogut talks about the NBL dilemma right now, and offers thoughts on the changes needed.

A ton of interesting news for all of you who have been missing our Aussies in the NBA this week. Bogut dominates the glass, and looks increasingly comfortable. Meanwhile Exum's put in his nomination for Shaqtin’ A Fool, and his lack of drives are a becoming a popular topic. Ingles hits a career high, and opts to sit out for the Boomers this year. Finally, Patty has a great piece up on Sports Illustrated that you should definitely check out.
