Burdon or Crawford as 36ers 10th man?

Burdon or PC?

Was PC a good choice, or would a better decision be to have contracted a young guy like Eric who is from SA & can shoot at a very high clip with very little space required.

Thoughts?

PC will be handy with his experience if this team, with the addition of Motum, pushes for a playoff spot. He showed he can still make some big plays against the hawks but didn't see much action after that. A lot of his shots seem to just roll in and out so just need couple to fall down and get some rhythm.

Burdon's not really a young guy, 29 years old...

Also, pc is hardly a 10th man, Daly is. If you asked between those two the obvious choice is Daly.

The thing that has worried me over the past seasons is the lack of a specialist 3 point shooter in the Sixers lineup. PC was brought in for that role and I see him as someone who should be able to offer some very good leadership on the bench and around the team.

Erik is a quality player who's prowess from beyond the arc is first class.

I would have thought that PC was more of a short term option, with Erik being a much better long term option.

Personally, I think there is enough leadership in the team without PC and I would favour Erik.

Someone who played at the last Olympics or someone who's barely played NBL hmm...

PC played about 32 seconds at the last Olympics! Let's not get attended and played confused.

Regardless, he still made that team and was one of only two players from the league to do so.

Wow. Get rid of Crawford. So why did Joey select him in the 1st place? Makes a mockery of his scouting surely?

Why would I take the piss seeing most people here seem to think PC should go,

PC doesn't provide leadership despite being a vet.

He's still an elite shooter in a league where that isn't a common commodity, and sis shooting will only get better as the season goes on.

PC hasn't hit the side of a barn in the last 2 seasons - done and done

PC isn't elite at anything Mick but I would still take him over Burdon on the chance he might pull an 'old-PC' game out.

I expect PC will come good, wait til the back half of the season when he's less tentative and more familiar with almost everything Adelaide (that isn't Townsville). It isn't like he is being loaded up with responsible at this stage.

Sometimes I forget this Sixers/Blaze squad have learnt alot about each other since 2012, it will take a little while for the newbies to catch up (see BJ & BT for example).

Plus, there are two newer faces in the squad that might make him feel a little more comfortable with his new environment.

Anecdotal obsevation of Burdon for the cats was that his shooting form didn't qulaify him as a specialist. Just checked his stats for that season. Less than 30% for fg and 3pt. Some pretty costly stats in those games. But his earlier seasons show he used to have form.

Crawford easily but he isn't the 10th man Daly is.
