Seems to be a lot more news with the Brisbane team then with the Tasmanian bid ( or any of the others for that matter ) . Does anyone know when the deadline for the new bids are ?

Apparently they have until the end of October which is Friday. Any news would be appreciated.

By the sounds of it there is no deadline for the Brisbane "bid".

It could be a bloodstain smeared on a napkin and the league would say, "what a promising business model, YOU'RE IN!"

Meeting next week supposedly. With the Brisbane announcement already made they now have carte blanche to go ahead and do what ever.
What a joke that was, with the incumbents already behind the 8ball before the NBL gets off their arses to make any announcement.
Big Joe's got the documentation to submit a business plan why? Does the NBL need to have a business plan for itself?? No one has ever put their hand up at any stage to get involved there, let alone finance it.
The NBL lurching from one crisis to another.

Mick. There is no Brisbane bid. The NBL have said they are in. The problem is that despite all the Blitz interest, at no stage has anyone put up their hands to take it on.
The surprising thing to me is that with the league supposedly expanding this topic seems to be totally ignored.

There was a Brisbane bid which had govt backing.

When? 1994?
Maybe there was Paul but that's got nothing to do with anything now.

No, a lot more recently than 1994.

I really hope it can be partly owned by the NBL and another ownership group. Hopefully an announcement this week.
