Taipans playing a nice team game with Weigh leading them, while Hawks are a three man team with their two imports and Forman all on 20+ points. Great game!

Tough break for Wollongong when they had a chance to tie or win. Looked like Gliddon got a clear hand on the Ervin dribble but a double dribble was called. Time-out Taipans up two.

More incompetent reffing. Hawks clearly foul Wilbekin as soon as he receives the inbounds, ref just metres away decides not to call it and Wilbekin dribbles clock out.
That was such a high-quality game, such a shame poor officiating ruined the end of it. Not good enough.
Well done Cairns though, 4-0 and playing great basketball. Not too many teams would have beaten the Hawks on their floor tonight shooting 48% and grabbing 13 o-boards.
Key for Cairns was just two turnovers, excellent execution, a couple of huge Stevie Weigh triples and a massive tip-in from Burston. Also crucial were missed lay-ups by Ervin and Carson down the stretch.
Three away wins already for the Taipans. Playing great team ball at the moment.

Reffing in general was poor today paul.
The Melb-Breakers game was policed much too strictly. Vukona is being targeted once again.
I have supported the tightening up of the refereeing from the last few years - but it is going way too far.

If NZ play at the same level as they did v Untied who were better but still all over the place - Cairns could go 5-0 from 1 H 4 A and take on Kings at Home for 6-0.
Not bad for the last place team from the experts.

replay also showed no touch from Gliddon and gary just brain farted. the Burston 2 missed FT's would have pushed it out. Reffing was fine this time round - usually its Hawk biased

I think Sydney and Townsville were the most common last-placed choices weren't they? Mind you, not many had the Taipans in the top four and theyre certainly looking the goods at this early stage.
Will be tough on Thursday, NZ tough at home, looking forward to that one.

Good game from both teams. Pressures on Wollongong this weekend with the Adelaide New Zealand double.
Jack, like the old saying when you're 7/10 on 3pts it means you didn't shoot enough of them!

He was en fuego. Spot on re the Hawks, they've got a bit of Greg Chappell about them, playing some good basketball but not winning. They've need to at least split next weekend or at 1-5 they'll be in a bit of a hole.
Adelaide will certainly need to improve their rebounding to beat Wollongong on Thursday.

Wollongong look to be playing better basketball than Adelaide so as a Sixers fan I'm not confident going into this game.
