Perth v NZ 64k viewers, is this good?
Is a national TV audience of 64k viewers a good ratings figure?

It's about normal for the start of the NBL season. If they averaged that the whole season they'd be happy, but the numbers usually drop a bit as the season goes on.
OOI, that's an initial metro average figure, so the final number with metros and recorded viewings would be a bit higher than that.
Bigger number than Australia in the cricket but off from A League

It's good. Usually the NBL will get around 35k viewers per game as the season progresses.

I would imagine the New Zealand audience is fairly decent when taking in the population size and time difference.

Worth keeping in mind: 12.5k people in Perth were at the game, zero people in New Zealand count towards that 64k.

If only SBS would pick up the NBL too.. soccer, basketball and sex. I'd never need to flick away again.

A-League had 210K on SBS if you use the same measure as the 64K for NBL.
Paul, any idea of the ratings figure for Melbourne v Cairns?
