Joondalup Wolves Playing Opportunities 2015
Australian Players Wanted 2015
The Joondalup Wolves currently have a few roster spots open for their State Basketball League (SBL) team in the upcoming 2015 season.
Following the retirement of our starting Point Guard and Center from our 2013 and 2014 team's, the opportunity is available for suitable candidates to join the "Wolfpack".
For those who are unaware of the SBL it is the current state league in Western Australia. The league is of an equivalent standard as the QABL and Big V leagues. The majority of teams will suit up 2 imports to go along with their local talent. There are also many current and ex NBL players currently in the league.
The Joondalup Wolves are based in the northern suburb of Joondalup, situated appropriately 26 kms north of the Perth CBD. Being only 5 minutes from the beach and with surrounding shopping centers, universities and full access to public transport it is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a change of lifestyle. There are also many employment opportunities in the surrounding areas too. As an organization we have seen a great deal of success in the past few years and pride ourselves on being one of the most professional and successful teams in the league. We focus on the development of our players, not only on the basketball court but also off the court as men. Some examples of players who have come through the Joondalup Wolves program are Greg Hire(Perth Wildcats), Alex Loughton (Cairns Taipans) and Damian Matacz (Singapore Slingers).
As mentioned earlier we are currently looking for a starting caliber Point Guard and Center. We are looking for someone who is;
- A solid citizen
- Fundamentally sound
- A team player
- Willing to work hard
- Willing to contribute to the club both on and off the floor
