Under 14 Girls Nationals

I just wanted to congratulate the North Sydney Bears girls on a worthy and thrilling win at the recent Club Championships in Brisbane.

We were rapt to discover that our girls could mix it with the best. Double overtime... What an exciting game!

As a group we had a great week and the success of our girls was just the icing on the cake.

Thank you to all the competitors,supporters and organisers. And a special thanks to the Knox Junior Raiders and our own crew.

Great effort by the North Sydney Bears Girls and would have loved to have been there to see this talented young lady play.

Averaged 24ppg and scored 33 in the final but with no other Bears Girls averaging double figures its a remarkable result.

Definitely going to be seeing her represent Australian junior teams in near future and hopefully the Opals in the longer term.

Sounds like it was a fantastic final, would have loved to have seen it.

Looking at the stats, a number of girls put up big points, even just in the final.

May be getting a little carried away calling them future Opals as 12/13 year olds, perhaps the future Opals weren't even there. Lots of sons of/daughters of get coached from nappies, only to be overtaken when it counts.
