You would hope he doesn't play and coach but expect he will.

Interesting to see the coaching jobs that Warren Escourt is missing out on. He missed out on even interviewing with the Geelong Supercats job and he missed out on the Hawthorn job also. Clubs must be looking at his limited success as a coach. Presents really well and has a big network etc, just doesn't win anything.

Daniel Smith big shoes to fill. Press release says been coaching 15 years at elite level yet he is only 25 years old? Good kid but lacks experience and game day smarts. Wish him well but will need experience around him to further develop his potential. iMO

Smith has big ambitions, I wish him well but this league is vastly different, pay checks, ego's, roster, minutes and shots are the deciding factors for players these days

Pity Hawthorn didn't tell their existing coach that they were moving him on before hiring and publicly announcing Timmons as their new coach. Poor form indeed.
