2014/15 36ers Sponsors

Looking through the blitz photos and the new uniforms look alright but whats happening with our sponsors?

Looks very plain with just the ISC logo and club logo, hopefully some decent sponsorship deals are in the pipeline.

Anyone have any news on the sponsorship front, after such a good year would be a waste to not pump the club up and get some solid sponsors on board.

Sponsors aren't silly and would know this team isn't as good as last year. It's a borderline bet at best that they'll even make the finals. As a result, sponsors will be reluctant to hand over cash.
Another reason why Dean shouldn't have gone budgetary after a successful season.

^ Less than likely

Sponsors aren't actively hunting sponsorship deals it's the other way around.

Highely unlikely that they unlike some fans are saying this teams worse than last year.

Question is how hard is the sponsorship person working?

Also the market for High end sponsors is tough plenty of associations with advertising space - you gotta compete to get it and source it.. They don't walk up and ask you.

BS, you can seek and sell as hard as you like but that sponsor will do their due dilligence to see if it is a viable avenue for them before committing. I don't think the Sixers would be that attractive as a sponsorship deal on the team they have backing up after last season....really needed to build on that with some exciting signings....but.....they haven't.

I don't think the Sixers are a unattractive sponsorship option. The problem with SA is that we have gone from a state with a lot of manufacturing capacity to a branch office state. The people making the decision for sponsorship packages for SA are based in the eastern states and would rather invest that money into their own states than SA IMO. The fact the NBL is without a naming rights sponsor (?) doesn't help.

I think it is a matter of targeting the right sponsors and I think there was a comment about lots of smaller sponsors rather than one big one. The AFL has soaked up the FMCG sector of cars. Seems each AFL club has a car sponsor.

Have a look at the major sponsors per team:

Perth - "alcohol think again"
Sydney - 333
NZ - Skycity
Melbourne - CTI
Wollongong - Wollongong Coal
Cairns - CQ University, Skytrans (last season?), McDonalds, tourism places
Townsville - McDonalds

Probably best to chase a mixture of tourism or FMCG

Jack...if it is lucrative for them then they will sponsor regardless. The reality is, the 36ers are not a lucrative deal at the moment.

what we really need is a centrally placed stadium near other entertainment venues and restaurants with the transport network necessary. Where a centrally located cashed up SINK and DINK community that can catch transport to work. then leave work on a Friday night, grab a meal then head off for some fast paced entertaining basketball with some rocking music followed by an after game drink before grabbing taxi, train or bus home or kicking on in to the night. Or for the masses now living in the city, they can make a game a regular part of their summers entertainment . Or hotels can offer packages that include not only a KI day trip but a night out to watch the Sixers.. A stadium that can be used for other events and not locked in to rigid constraints as is the Fortress. I had a dream...……..

Oh I forgot the Casino High Rollers having a night out in a swish gold plated corporate box with a roulette wheel, dancing girls and chinese massage table cheering on the team too. Maybe build on Chino Australia Relationship and start an exchange program with China and the Sixers, what about a Chinese ownership !!

The Adelaide Oval has been a boon for some North Adelaide restaurants and attendances at the Oval have been massive. SANFL GF had 38,000 people, which is the highest for some time.

While the Dome is a unique site, is it a millstone around the Sixers neck?

Look at Perth they were in the sticks for a decade now back to the CBD and booming again like they did surprise surprise when they originally were in the CBD location.

Here in Adelaide we need the same, let's get into the Entertainment Centre asap!!!

Return to Adelaide Oval from suburbia is a prime example of what 36ers need to do!

EC cost would kill the sixers, substantially larger then what's is paid now, and would not have the luxury of having games in peak times, Fri night or sat night due to EC being booked out to more viable and financial options,
