Hey Naph - thanks for that.

Not everything on eurobasket.com is up to date. i.e. Brock Motum is with the Utah Jazz now in the NBA!

Joe Ingles is no longer contracted to Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Ater Majok is no longer contracted to Goettingen in Germany.

Liam Rush does look like he is returning to Uppsala in Sweden after checking Uppsala's website. I will add him in.

I will check on the rest, although the BBL is not exactly a top-level league, although it getting better slowly.

In Round 1 he has 12p on 5/9, 5r and 2b in 28mins. It doesn't look like he has a great team around him so he should get to play plenty.

I'd personally like to see Nevill develop and take a spot on the Boomers with his midrange game.

Reply #516061 | Report this post

Way out of the NBL's reaches!

Some of the bigger budget Euro teams fork out more than 14m euro's per season.

I would think that Broekhoff's next deal should be no less than 800k Euros per season but on the right team with the right budget, far more than that.

A number of other Euro teams are circling and he is currently in contract renegotiations.

I heard it was somewhere around 300K but there were issues with payment. The money in Europe ain't what it used to be, but Turkey isn't a bad place to be in that regards, inconsistent payments aside.

Ranking Australia's best players in Europe so far this season was a tough task, and it was the most difficult at the top of the chart. The top two players play in strong European leagues and as invaluable parts of their respective sides. Both players have claims on the top spot; however there can only be one atop the rankings.

Nice work. I agree with the top four, spot on, but I'm not sure Jawai deserves to be fifth, even with how few Aussies there are playing in Europe now. He just hasn't put any form of note together this season.

I reckon I would have gone with Dan Dillon at 5 myself. Jawai has really just not found any form of note this year at all - almost seems like he is in a holding pattern of mediocrity.

Newley has earned himself a decent contract extension IMO, while Broekhoff will be fielding many offers, including one from Besiktas.

Will be interesting to see if Majok Majok is retained by Helios in Slovenia.

I am hoping Jawai comes back to the NBL next season.
He has not played much since he left and must be getting frustratedored with bball at the moment.

Obviously the money is better in Europe, but he just doesn't get much game time.
Could be a great pick up for the Brisbane team.

Hopefully AJ Ogilvy can overcome his latest injury set back - his foot has been giving him no end of troubles and has resulted him in missing most of the season. He is a guy who given the right opportunity could do very well in Europe - he just needs to get healthy.
