does anyone know what sort of chance we will get to watch basketball on TV during the Commonwealth games? - can't find anything re coverage on teh games web site.

we will probaly only get ball when there is no other events on like at the olympics which is bulls***.

Why would Channel 9 (or Channel 7 for he Olympics) for that matter telecast basketball if no one will watch it now, and I don't mean the mandatory 10,000 basketball fans throughout the country.
It a commercial decision and made with the best intention to the sport. Free to air basketball is the same, its to expensive to put all the infrastructure needed in place to have 10,000 people watch and get out rated by a crappy 2 bit program on the ABC.
Basketball needs to create demand before any commercial free to air network will look at putting it on TV again, and that demand wont be created by Australia playing against some small basketball minnow nation from the south pacific.

what better way to promote and grow then show the national team live in and international competition and a time thats relevant for all age groups to watch
