If Lithuania were this switched on against us ....we'd have gone down by double figures.
Also Casey Frank should seriously be commentating this game, not playing in it.

Very nice.
Lithuania are idiots though, just jacking up poor 3's....V kills them whenever he gets it but they go 2 or 3 trips without even getting him a touch.

Our Kiwi bros got rough calls in 1st, armchair ride in 2 & 3 and back to tough calls in last few minutes.

Am I the only one that saw the Lithuania defender clearly two feet over the baseline on the inbound after Lithuania's fourth team foul in the final quarter?
great effort.. foul trouble and too undersized in the end.
vukona is a beast.
ball down under is as good as any in europe.

No it's not, but it's as good as most in Europe.
Incredible effort by NZ, Corey Webster and Mika Vukona have just driven this team over the past two seasons, with others filling their roles.
Webster 26p on 10/21 and 4r.
Vukona 9p, 10r, 3s and 2a.
if you compare leagues you're right. but a general country comparison, i think down under is just as good. the standard isn't too far ahead.
there's just as much talent per capita as any euro country, especially for nz. they were only 1-2 players away from causing real damage imo. steven adams and another swingman as a sub for abecrombie maybe?
aus seem to be ahead of any euro country right now in terms of juniors.

Put Adams, Pledger and Te Rangi in this team and they are a quality international outfit.

Big call. But say we had Adams.
We might be sitting in the hotel room in a few days about to play a semi final at the World Champs.
We would have beat LTU and could have got past Turkey.

That's a good looking team with a lot of upside . Who could potentially play for the Tall blacks for the next decade

Yep with Adams and Pledger.
But what we got out of Fotu was more than what we would have got from Te Rangi IMO.

The Fact that KP wasn't able to fire at all during the tournament was a contributing factor in the Tall Blacks failing to advance. But it was great to see the younger guys pick up the slack.
