We know 2 clubs that don't charge for clearances. Tigers come on that is ridiculous.
30 bucks is money well spent to get out of that place
Southern will be making a killing this year in those fees
Surely it's against the rules to charge a fee to change clubs.

I know of two clubs that do and its a clubs choice to charge or not $30-$35 is about right but to be honest if you leave before putting in your itp it should be zero

I too am not a great advocate for "Cub Hopping" but sometimes there is a logistical reason for swapping Clubs. Ie new Club is closer to home.
Just had never heard of a Clearance fee, and whether it was an individual Club decision or a new BSA policy.
Happy to pay $30.00 but Just think it should be a standard Policy and a collective agreement, adopted by all Clubs and be regulated.
Fees are set by club committees as per club consitutions. BSA doesnt have any influence over fees charged by clubs. Members of clubs do by their votes and committee election. Dont like it vote and have things changed. Thats right it only affects those that want to leave - for good reasons or not
