Obviously Aron Baynes is a great player but is he a long term nba player? Will never be a starter and struggles for minutes at spurs. Could he get big mins at a lesser nba team? Or will he return to europe or nbl to be a starting inside man??

The biggest role he has played for the spurs is carrying the championship trophy around for patty while he is injured!! NBL in the next year or 2!!
Wow, you guys are optimistic.
When he gets playing time he's productive, and - if rumours are to be believed - the Spurs will match any reasonable offer for Baynes.

I think Baynes should have taked the opportunity to compete in this years Summer League to show his worth to other teams, instead of touring Australia with a trophy. He will need to be very productive and make the most out of limited opportunity this year if he plans on sticking around in the NBA

I would take the fact he is touring with Larry as a likely sign he will be back with the Spurs.
You would think so as if the Spurs had told him his spot on the roster is in jeopardy he would've been playing in the SL.

NBL? If they guy doesn't get another NBA contract he'll just go back to Europe and earn more $$ there.
He's got a WC to get ready for and playing in the summer league would have done nothing to securing him another contract with anyone other than the Buffalo Bra Snatchers D League team.. he has an existing NBA resume, he doesn't need to spend time playing glorified pick up ball.
Playing in the summer league does 99% of players no good because 1) it's the summer league and 2) it's the summer league... If you don't understand where i'm coming from you haven't watched enough summer league...
Mentioning "being a starter in Europe"..they don't have starters in Europe. They don't have bench and starters there. Just places in the rotation.
