Rockets name Court 1 after Jo Hill

SA Great and women's basketball treasure Jo Hill has received a massive accolade from her North Adelaide Rockets Basketball Club with Court One at venerable Hillcrest Stadium officially named after her.

Jo is the first female basketballer in SA (and possibly Australia) to have a court named after her...

North Adelaide made the court dedication last Saturday, immortalising Jo Hill into the club's annals. Hopefully if and when the Rockets either revamp Hillcrest or move into new digs, Jo Hill Court will continue with it.

She deserves nothing less.

Great to see, and yes would love to see BSA move on from Hillcrest into a decent facility where Jo can be better recognised.

hillcrest, marion, port, st clair - all need overhaul. Sound investment - creates work, community facility, all return money.

WA's Mandurah Magic earlier this year named their court in honour of 350 WSBL gamer Casey Mihovilovich.

Unfortunately the Rockets/Jo Hill honour wasnt the first of its kind in Australia.

The North Adelaide stadium may not be a decent facility but the toilets are always clean and in working condition not like most other stadiums. And they also put on a supper after ABL games. The club may not have the best facility but we certainly look after our own. Congratulations to Jo Hill you deserve it all.
